The Masquerade Belle is the creative side of Shemika Berry, a transplanted Southern Belle living in the Washington, DC, area.

A native of Louisiana, she graduated from Bossier High School and Louisiana Tech University. Upon completion of honorable service to her country with the United States Air Force, she began pursuing a theatrical career. While performing, she discovered a love for makeup artistry.

Shemika has been on the production crew for several area theatrical productions, including " A Midsummer Night's Dream," "Gypsy," "Oliver!," and "Laughing Daughter." She has not only applied makeup but also was on the production crew as a makeup designer.

Shemika has also worked with several photographers throughout the country in the fashion, beauty, glamour, commercial, and editorial genres.
